Event Planning Update

I have been having a blast interning at the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge! Everyone is so friendly and the weddings are really creative. I thought I would share some pictures of what I’ve been helping to set up!

This bride was obsessed with purple! She even had it in her hair and on her dress. For this wedding, I set up my first escort card table; it is a lot harder than you would think to correctly line up all the cards, but my Maitre D’ thought I did a good job.

I also got to create the chalkboard sign for the card table! I even added a little purple to my “fauxligraphy” so hopefully the bride liked it.

The wedding after that was crazily detailed! I spent most of the time working with the admin trying to figure out the right amount of water to put in a fountain so that it would start flowing as soon as the bride and groom poured in the water for their unity ceremony! It was very complicated and eventually we rigged it so that the officiant could step on the button to the power strip.

These escort cards were made by the bride, and they were a very unique touch to this one of a kind wedding!

Wedding Fest!

The Bridal Show was a huge success and I feel like I have learned so much during this internship. Here’s more of the paper flowers and the tassel garland that I made! Check out my video for simple instructions on how to make your own. (Sorry it’s so awkward, it was for my public speaking class!)

And here’s the video!

Anna and Dan’s Wedding

A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend’s older sister got married! I was lucky enough to help her get ready, take photos, and even learn how to bustle a dress on the spot. It was a really great night, so I thought I would share some of the pictures I took. They did not hire a professional photographer, so the pressure was on!

Here’s Jack and I at the rehearsal dinner at Capital Grille in Midtown. I wore a dress from Forever 21 and a necklace from RocksBox.

Here’s Anna getting ready the afternoon of the wedding!

I wore a dress from White House Black Market.

One of my absolute favorites!

I did massive dress fluffing before this picture!

Photos in Central Park!

We had a great time at the wedding!

Southern Style

A couple weeks ago, my beautiful cousin Paula married the man of her dreams Paul in Savannah, Georgia. As many of you know, I am obsessed with all things wedding related, so I had to make a post about it!

The ceremony took place at the fountain in Forsyth Park, across from the reception at The Mansion on Forsyth Park.

The fountain was the perfect backdrop to a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, and the ombre aisle, composed of 30,000 rose petals, was stunning.

To beat the heat, they put the wedding programs on fans. I used my Lilly Pulitzer wristlet, which I got as a free gift, and painted my nails with Essie’s Ballet Slippers.

Paula wore a beautiful sheer dress with an illusion neckline and carried a bouquet of white roses.

The ceremony was lovely and very touching, and Paula and Paul looked absolutely over the moon when they walked back down the aisle!

Here is my little sister and I after the ceremony!

I wore a Lilly Pulitzer shift dress, Ava & Aiden D’Orsay wedges from Gilt, and Kate Moss for Rimmel London lipstick in Kiss of Life (can’t resist a lipstick with my name on it!).

Their reception was very simple and elegant, from the place cards and menus to the floral arrangements. The food was delicious and a great time was had by all!

Congrats Mr & Mrs Hotchkiss! #PaulsGetHitched
