Halloweekend and an Influenster Surprise

Once again, I have fallen behind on my blogging. I promise I’m having a super stressful semester (because otherwise it would be totally unacceptable) but now that my Honors Thesis Proposal has been submitted, and everything is kind of winding down, I have a little more time to write (if writing at 2:30 in the morning qualifies as more time).

Just before Halloween, I received a $50 Victoria’s Secret gift card from Influenster for completing their brand badge on my VSX Sports Bra! I finally got to spend it at Pink, and I spent it on new undies and a really cute limited edition Halloween tank!

While I don’t feel the need to post a picture of my underwear on the internet, however cute they may be, I will say that the Date Collection is stunning and really comfortable… especially if you’re, ahem, smaller.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, so I thought I would go all out this year and attempt a pinterest worthy costume: a piñata. I spent a week gluing crepe paper to a dress and making it perfect. Then, the night I was supposed to wear the costume, I tried it on… and got stuck in it. Both of my roommates were out and I was just on the floor of my living room, crying while stuck inside a rock hard piñata dress.

Luckily, I pulled myself together and put on my ultimate white girl costume.

No one could figure out what my sister KC and I were, but we were a mouse and a panda. duh.

I had a really great night, and my nose stayed on the whole time I was out. I’d say that was an accomplishment!

Fall Fun: realizing I’ve been terrible at blogging

Hi everyone! I know it’s been a very long time since I posted anything here, and after recently receiving several compliments on my blog, followed by complaints that it hasn’t been updated, I’ve decided to make a huge post about recent autumnal excursions!

A couple weeks ago, the boyfriend and I went pumpkin (and fancy gourd) picking at Norz Hill Farm, which is right by my house! We had so much fun taking a hayride to see all of the farm’s animals and picking our own pumpkins straight from the vine!

We also did the corn maze, which was very complicated, but Jack proved himself a worthy navigator by getting us (and the dads with three small children) out!

I wore a salmon J. Crew sweater, Victoria’s Secret Leggings with a stripe on the side, Jack Rogers flats, and my Barbour jacket, which I got last January in Scotland!

We also picked up tons of fall goodies to enjoy: apple cider, pecan pie, preserves for my mom and grandma, and of course our tiny pumpkins and fancy gourds!

As if all that wasn’t enough for me, I also went pumpkin picking with my DZ sisters! We never actually pick any pumpkins; it’s just a really good excuse to take super cute pictures. My little and I were lucky enough to expand our family recently, so we took lots of pictures with our littlest, Marissa!

I’m wearing a navy plaid Ralph Lauren jacket, Rugby henley shirt, khaki American Eagle jeggings, and my old brown boots (don’t want to get anything nice dirty!) I added a pop of color with my hot pink Kate Spade cross body.

And here is one of my pledge sisters, KC!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year!

VS Sports Bra

This week I received a complimentary Victoria’s Secret Sport VoxBox from Influenster!

unnamed-2

It included The Angel Sports Bra ($44.50), a six pack of Mesh Sport Socks ($29.50), a VS Tape Measure, and a 25% off coupon for VSX Sport!

The Angel

This sports bra comes in sizes 32-36A-DD and offers medium support. The cups have a memory foam that conforms to your shape and underwire for additional support. It also has an adjustable back closure.

Since I am definitely on the smaller ( erm… smallest) end of that size range, this sports bra didn’t fit me quite as well as I had hoped. However, I have this problem with a lot of clothing so I can’t really blame VS. I loved the color I received, and the fabric feels very nice.

I wore a frat tank over this when I went walking/running and it was very comfortable and breathable!

Mesh Sport Socks

These socks are very soft and breathable. I love that the back of the sock is higher than the front to prevent it from slipping down into you sneakers!

Plus, the bright colors compliment my just as bright Nike’s really well.

The Studio

I went to VS to use my 25% off coupon and found The Studio Sports Bra. I tried it on in both Hello Lovely and Neon Apricot/Orange Heat and ended up purchasing the latter.

This sports bra has a more classic fit than the Angel. It provides medium support and has removable padding, as well as adjustable straps, something I definitely need. It is super comfortable and fit me perfectly! I wore it while running errands today (it’s gross and rainy out) and I actually forgot that I was wearing it!

Thanks so much to Victoria’s Secret and Influenster for giving me the opportunity to be a VSSport Tester!

This is a sponsored blog post. Influenster provided me with complimentary Victoria’s Secret products to test and review as part of a contest.
