I recently received the Airbrush Perfect Legs VoxBox from Influenster with a sunless tanner-like product from Sally Hansen.
To be honest, this was the first Vox Box I received since becoming a part of Influenster about three years ago that I did not like.
Although the product was definitely too dark for my skin tone (since I received the medium) it was still just a strange product. It works like makeup for your legs, but it came off a bit too easily for my liking, and was pretty orange. It also does not gradually tan your legs like other similar products, but just wipes clean. So you go from being, in my case at least, pale to orange to pale again in one go.
This product was really just not for me, and I received similar feedback from other bloggers I talked to who also received this box.
Oh well, hopefully the next one will be better, andI honestly can’t complain after receiving probably a dozen or so great boxes from Influenster.
I received this product complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes.
This summery recipe from Better Homes and Gardens was really simple to make!
Ingredients: 15 Oreos, crushed; 3 Tbsp melted butter, cooled; 3 cartons of your favorite ice cream, softened; popsicle sticks or spoons; 9×9 baking pan
Line the pan with wax paper (or if you’re lazy like me, buy a disposable pan that doesn’t need to be greased)
Crush the cookies! The best way is to put them in a plastic baggie and roll them over with a rolling pin. Stir together the cookie crumbs and butter, then line the tin with the mixture. Freeze this for ten minutes.
Spread an even layer of your first ice cream over the tin. BHG had specific measurements but they confused me so I just made it up as I went! Freeze for 15 minutes. Repeat for the second layer.
After adding in the final ice cream layer, place your popsicle sticks and spoons evenly throughout the tin. Freeze for about 2 hours, though mine looked much better after freezing over night.
I recently scored this dress from the Ann Taylor Sale! It was under $50 and when you’re an xxs petite, sale items are usually pretty hard to come by. This dress is super comfy, though I wish it wasn’t dry clean only. Oh well, I guess I’ll just be careful in it!
I paired this with my rose gold Kendra Scott earrings, Jack Rogers wedges, and C. Wonder (RIP) sunglasses. The detailing on this dress is gorgeous, and who doesn’t love a good tassel belt?
Jack told me to pretend I was a model… I’m clearly a natural. (shout out to the bf for being such a patient photographer!)
I finally got to wear my graduation dress again for a fancy date night with the boyfriend. This Lilly Pulitzer First Impressions shift dress is so comfortable and transitioned from meeting an event planner, to class, to a fancy restaurant, to ice cream, so easily and I got compliments every step of the way!
During the day I paired it with my pink Jack Rogers, but for date night I threw on my favorite Jack Rogers wedges. And of course I had my favorite Ted Baker London bag with me.
Polar Cub ice cream was the Sweetest way to end a date with the Sweetest guy!
Jack and I recently visited Baker’s Treat in Flemington, a cafe that also donates to charity! His former manager at Starbucks actually did the artwork on the outside of the building, and the whole place is just super cute and fun.
I wore this engineered Lilly Pulitzer tube top with white jeans and my pink Jack Rogers. My favorite accessory though? This adorable cupcake!
Not all summer days are super hot. Whether it’s on a cool night by the water or just in a freezing cold restaurant, sometimes you need a summer sweater.
My new favorite one is a pullover by the Macbeth Collection that I got while I was in Bay Village in LBI. There is this really cute store called Island Gypsy; If you’re ever down there definitely check it out!
Sorry I haven’t been posting lately, I started working again and have been settling into my new house!
This coming week I will be heading to Beach Haven with my boyfriend’s family so I thought I would do a post on three different beach looks. It is so easy to have a different feel or style depending on your suit and the accessories you use!
The Girly Girl
Think pink with this bright suit, a fun sun hat, and a summer read!
