Beach Haven

Sorry for the lack of posting recently! I got back from the beach and went back to work and lost track of my blog.

I recently spent a week in Beach Haven with my boyfriend’s family. It was a lot of fun.

One of my favorite things was renting bikes. I of course got a pink one with a basket, and funnily enough, Jack got a green one. We’re so preppy.

On one of the first days, we tried to bike all the way to Barnegat Lighthouse, which was about 13 miles away. We made it 5 and then turned around. It was terrible. After that we stuck to biking to Bay Village where we got amazing fudge.

The best part about where the house was, was that we were right between the beach and the bay. We spent most nights down at the bay watching the sunset.

Always have to sneak in a Sorority Spirit Jersey pic!

One night, Jack took me out to dinner for a romantic date. It was really nice, though one of my frustrations with the shore is that there are casual restaurants and super duper nice restaurants, but nothing in between! We still had a great time and had some good Italian food at Calabria Ristorante.

Weekend in Boston

I spent the past couple days visiting one of my best friends, Lizzy, at Boston University! She’s taking a summer course, but had time to show me around for a couple days.

On the first day we went to Newbury Street, a very cute shopping area.

We also visited the Boston Common Public Garden. It has gorgeous landscaping, the George Washington Statue, and of course the Make Way for Ducklings statues.
