Amuse Bouche by Bite Beauty

I recently received a trio of Amuse Bouche lipsticks from Bite Beauty courtesy of Influenster. I have gotten a lot of vox boxes since I started my first blog about four years ago, and besides the Victorias Secret Sport box, I think this was one of my favorites.

For starters, these colors are SPECTACULAR.

Just. Look. At. Them. From left to right they are Beetroot, Pepper, and Gazpacho.

The lipsticks themselves smell very citrusy, have a great texture, and are made with food grade ingredients. They are even gluten-free!

Even though it took a little practice to get such a rich color on my pale, pale skin, Beetroot is definitely my favorite (see above). I paired it with some high waisted black jeans from Garage and this sparkly J Crew tee for a tapas date night. This little black bag was a darling addition (even though my phone doesn’t fit in it!).

I love Pepper (above) as well because it is perfect for a casual day of shopping and is also totally office appropriate!

Definitely a 5 out of 5 on this one. Way to go Bite Beauty!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Interior Design

Since I was getting ready to graduate and move home this semester, I thought it was about time I decorate my new room at home. Though it is not quite done yet, I went to Home Goods and picked up some cute accessories for my bookshelf.

Being an English major means I have plenty of books! The ones that didn’t match I covered with pretty paper, and I still have some more to do. I kept my textbooks because I can just cover them instead of spending money on coffee table books. My favorite piece is definitely the gold telephone bank. It looks like a Jonathan Adler piece, but it was $12!

I will post much more about this when it is all finished!

It’s Friday again!

Here is a video made in response to the Free People Movement wear ad, which as a dancer got me pretty heated. This video by AKP Film & Media is the appropriate response, and could definitely educate non-dancers about what dance really is.

And an inspiring quote that goes along pretty well with dance:

And here’s a new word!

One of my cousins has the cutest Instagram hashtag: Friyay! I figured this would be the perfect way to end the week and begin my blog.

A Fun Story:

I read on the BBC that Latabe the Elephant from the West Midlands Safari Park took the first “elfie” or elephant selfie when a park visitor dropped his cellphone!

In honor of Maya Angelou, here’s an inspiring quote

Happy FriYAY!
