I am a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College with a BA in English and dance, and am now pursuing a certification in Event Planning!
I am a sister of Delta Zeta, and love crafts, scrapbooking, and fashion!
This blog is my mission to discover what I love and why, and hopefully this will help point me in the right direction for what I want to do... and encourage me to have more fun!
Yesterday I attempted some glittered Easter eggs, and let me tell you, they are not as simple as you would think.
The pink glitter is from the Target dollar bin and the bronze glitter is Recollections fine glitter from Michael’s.
These came out better than I expected them to, but only because I spent about an hour and a half completely covered in glue while Jack listened to me whimper.
My best advice on the glitter and glue front is to use less glue than you think is necessary. I used way too much, which smeared when I then tried to roll the egg in the glitter. Also, if you have the time, try doing one side of the egg at a time, to let them dry more fully. I think you can tell why a couple of those bronze eggs are not fully covered!
I recently received a trio of Amuse Bouche lipsticks from Bite Beauty courtesy of Influenster. I have gotten a lot of vox boxes since I started my first blog about four years ago, and besides the Victorias Secret Sport box, I think this was one of my favorites.
For starters, these colors are SPECTACULAR.
Just. Look. At. Them. From left to right they are Beetroot, Pepper, and Gazpacho.
The lipsticks themselves smell very citrusy, have a great texture, and are made with food grade ingredients. They are even gluten-free!
Even though it took a little practice to get such a rich color on my pale, pale skin, Beetroot is definitely my favorite (see above). I paired it with some high waisted black jeans from Garage and this sparkly J Crew tee for a tapas date night. This little black bag was a darling addition (even though my phone doesn’t fit in it!).
I love Pepper (above) as well because it is perfect for a casual day of shopping and is also totally office appropriate!
Definitely a 5 out of 5 on this one. Way to go Bite Beauty!
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
I know I haven’t posted in quite some time, but I have been missing blogging and writing recently, so I thought I would post about my very green weekend.
At work on Thursday I wore my favorite bright green C Wonder pants and my Be Happy loafers, because I was definitely in a good mood.
After work I changed into a green gingham button down from J Crew, the skirt part of my favorite scalloped crop top and skirt set, and a chunky pearl necklace. I have seen this look from several bloggers and I am absolutely obsessed.
I paired this look with a bag from J Crew that I got several years ago. J Crew Factory always has such amazing bags that really aren’t too expensive.
And, since it’s finally spring, I couldn’t resist taking a sweet picture of my favorite Hunter Boots with some pink tulips!
For St Paddy’s Day, Jack and I went to his friend’s house and ate corned beef and played some party games!
I recently received the Airbrush Perfect Legs VoxBox from Influenster with a sunless tanner-like product from Sally Hansen.
To be honest, this was the first Vox Box I received since becoming a part of Influenster about three years ago that I did not like.
Although the product was definitely too dark for my skin tone (since I received the medium) it was still just a strange product. It works like makeup for your legs, but it came off a bit too easily for my liking, and was pretty orange. It also does not gradually tan your legs like other similar products, but just wipes clean. So you go from being, in my case at least, pale to orange to pale again in one go.
This product was really just not for me, and I received similar feedback from other bloggers I talked to who also received this box.
Oh well, hopefully the next one will be better, andI honestly can’t complain after receiving probably a dozen or so great boxes from Influenster.

Last weekend the boyfriend took me to DC and Annapolis for a weekend getaway!
I’ll share our vacation in another post, but I wanted to provide some packing tips for a small trip!
Pack light! I know this is obvious, but it can be really difficult to only bring what you really need. One way I avoid over packing is by packing outfits that I know I will wear, rather than individual pieces.
Dresses are your best friend. They are easy to fold into a small suitcase and are a whole outfit in one piece!
Pick your three favorite shoes and wear one. Shoes are my downfall because I always want a variety of shoes for all the places I might be going. I will admit I brought way too many shoes for this trip, but I wore my Kate Spade Keds, and brought my Jack Rogers, and two (yikes) pairs of wedges. I have no self control.
Limit the accessories. Bring your favorite necklace and a couple pairs of earrings, and leave the chunky stuff at home. It will save you space and make your suitcase that much lighter.
My favorite thing in this suitcase is the Wear Me/Wash Me bag that I got as a gift with purchase from Lilly Pulitzer. It is perfect for hiding away intimates and bathing suits!
